Title of Activity : Meet the supervisor (Discuss about the project)
Objective :
To discuss with the supervisor about the expected activity schedule for each week in this semester
Content/ Procedure :
1)
Discuss with my supervisor regarding the objective of my project which is "Colour Detector for the Colourblind People".
2)
Learn the way on how to achieve the objectives of my project and make it functioned for he Final Year Project.
Result and analysis :
As we know, my Final Year Project's title is Colour Detector For the Colourblind People. For the introduction, let's we take a look briefly about my project. Before that, for the S1'12 the assesment for Final Year Project semester 2 is as below :

Conclusions :
In this first week, I just planned the strategy to achieve my Final Year Project objectives. I also refresh the Gantt chart and discuss the important task of the assesment in order to smooth the Final Year Project flow.

This development of
colour detector will help people especially colourblind people distinguish
colours and also inform people of which colours match other colours in planning to
buy wardrobe or anything that suitable with taste. Furthermore, this project give advantages to the
children in process of grow up with introducing them to differentiate the
colour and know more detail about the colour structure. It is also friendly device, which is easy to the all users to use it at anytime, anywhere and
and help them live in a normal life like others.
The objectives of this project are :
- To help colourblind people distinguish colours
- To inform colourblind people of which colours match other colours in choosing wardrobe, car or house
- To create new project which is small, cost effective and easy to use that can accurately recognize ten main colours

Battery
The battery will supply the overall circuit with 9
Volts.
Voltage Regulator
The voltage regulator will convert the 9V to 5V and
3.3V in order to supply the microcontroller, sensor and display with the
correct voltage.
Sensor
The sensor will detect the colours and
then convert the wavelength to a Hex value that will be its output.
Microcontroller
The microcontroller will take the Hex value and
with the programming we implement, will determine which colour is being sensed.
The microcontroller will also light up the LED so that there is a backlight for
better control.
Display
The display will then display the colour outputted
from the microcontroller as well as two matching colours which the
microcontroller will also tell it to display.
Lastly,
I have to refer my Gantt chart to my supervisor as a guideline for me
later on to achieve the objectives of my project and make it functioned
for the Final Year Project. With this Gantt chart also can estimate my
time and cost for this project.

Besides, I also study the block diagram and the flow chart of my project to notice the main component which will be used to complete and fuctioned my Final Year Project. Wassalam.
